About the desk

cappadocia.ae is operated by Rate Extra Tourism L.L.C, a tour operator licensed by the Department of Economy and Tourism in Dubai. Every booking made on this site is a contract with that company, priced in AED and paid by card.

Who we are

Rate Extra Tourism L.L.C holds licence number 1253634 and registration number 2115485 from the Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai. The licence covers both inbound and outbound tour operation. The company is a member of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, membership number 495018.

The registered office is Office 105-A75, Al Markaz Al Tejari 1 (Commercial Centre 1), Bur Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The desk works in English and Arabic.

On the ground in Türkiye, our operations partner is Safaryar Holidays. They hold the local supplier contracts, meet guests at the airport and run the day-to-day contact with hotels and balloon companies.

What the desk does

We do three things. We write guide pages for travellers from the Gulf, we book a small set of products in Cappadocia, and we answer questions by e-mail before and after a trip.

The products are cave hotels, sunrise balloon flights, private airport transfers and eSIMs for Türkiye. Prices are shown in AED with a USD figure for reference. Payment is by card through Stripe, and we never see or store card numbers.

How we choose hotels

A hotel goes on our list only after the Türkiye team has stayed in it or inspected it in person. We look for the things a Gulf family asks about first. Rooms that sleep five without a fold-out bed, a terrace with a balloon view, a proper breakfast and a quiet corridor.

We drop a hotel when guest feedback turns, not when a commission changes. We do not list every hotel in Göreme, and we say so.

How we choose balloon operators and pilots

Balloon flights in Cappadocia are regulated by the Turkish civil aviation authority, the SHGM. We work only with operators who hold a current SHGM licence and whose pilots are licensed by the same authority.

The morning go or no-go decision belongs to the authority and the operator, not to us. If a flight is cancelled for weather, you are rebooked or refunded in full. We never promise that a flight will happen.

How we choose drivers

Transfers are run by licensed drivers with registered vehicles. Every booking carries your flight number, so the driver waits if the plane is late. The transfer times we publish come from our drivers' logs, not from a map estimate.

How the pages are written

Each guide page is written from a brief, checked against dated sources and read by a second person before it goes live. Prices and timetables carry a last-checked date. The full process is on the editorial policy page.
