Istanbul: Princes' Islands Scuba Diving Boat Trip with Lunch

This trip takes you under it. Departing from Küçükyalı Marina on the Asian shore, our boat heads out into the Sea of Marmara toward the Princes&#39; Islands archipelago — nine islands scattered off Istanbul&#39;s coast, with clear water, quiet coves and dive sites that almost no one on the tourist trail ever reaches.</p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em"><strong>Diving with no experience required</strong></p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em">You don&#39;t need a certificate, prior training or any equipment of your own. Once we anchor at the dive site, our instructors give a 30–40 minute theory briefing covering breathing, hand signals and basic safety. We then help you into your wetsuit and gear, and enter the water together.</p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em">Your first ten minutes are spent on the surface getting comfortable with the regulator. From there you descend with your instructor beside you at all times, to a maximum depth of 5 metres, for an average of 30 minutes underwater. Certified divers can go deeper on request — just let us know when you book.</p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em">Throughout the dive, our team photographs and films you underwater. The images are shared with you after the trip at no extra cost.</p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em"><strong>Not diving? Come anyway.</strong></p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em">The same boat carries non-diving guests at a lower rate. Swim from the deck, sunbathe, watch the islands go past, and eat the same lunch as everyone else. It&#39;s a straightforward way for couples, families and mixed groups to spend the day together without anyone being left ashore.</p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em">The same boat carries non-diving guests at a lower rate. Tea and water are available throughout the day.</p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em"><strong>The route</strong></p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em">The exact route is set on the morning of departure according to sea and weather conditions, which is standard practice and a safety matter. We generally sail around Büyükada, Heybeliada, Burgazada, Kınalıada, Sedef, Kaşık, Yassıada and Sivriada, anchoring wherever conditions are best that day.</p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em"><strong>Practical details</strong></p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em">Departure is at 10:00 from Küçükyalı Marina and we return by 17:30 — a full seven and a half hours on the water. Trips run every Saturday and Sunday through the end of November. Weekday departures are available for private groups by prior arrangement.</p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em">Minimum age is 14. You should be able to swim and be in reasonable general health. Book at least 10 days in advance, as weekend departures fill quickly.</p><p style="font-size:14px;line-height:1.6;color:#57646f;margin-top:0.5em;margin-bottom:0.5em">Instruction is delivered by SSI and CMAS certified professionals.</p>
