Bring headphones. The guide is narrated with a score; a phone speaker doesn't do it justice, and Hagia Sophia is an active place of prayer. Dress code applies: shoulders and knees covered; women should bring a headscarf. Shoes are removed on the carpeted prayer level. Transportation. Getting to and from Hagia Sophia is on you: tram, taxi or on foot. The nearest tram stop is Sultanahmet (T1 line), a two-minute walk. Airport transfers. Headphones or earphones. Wired or wireless, both fine. A charged phone. The audio guide runs in your browser and the QR ticket lives on your screen. A power bank is a sensible addition if Hagia Sophia is your first stop of the day. A headscarf; women must cover their hair inside. Scarves are sold at the entrance if you forget, but bringing your own is easier and cheaper. Clothing that covers shoulders and knees, for everyone. Shorts, short skirts and sleeveless tops will be refused or covered with a loaned wrap. Socks. Shoes come off on the carpeted prayer level. A bag for your shoes; you carry them with you inside.
