No need to exchange your voucher at a separate counter unless otherwise stated on your ticket. 4. Arrive at least 15 minutes before your planned entry time. 5. Follow the instructions of on-site staff and any security screening at the entrance. 6. Dress modestly as Hagia Sophia is an active mosque: shoulders and knees should be covered and women may be asked to cover their hair. A scarf is recommended.

• Hagia Sophia is an active mosque and may be temporarily closed to tourists during the five daily prayer times, and closed to tourists between 12:00 and 14:30 on Fridays for Friday prayer. • Modest dress is required. Shoulders and knees must be covered; women may need to cover their hair. Shoes may need to be removed in prayer areas. • Please behave respectfully toward worshippers and avoid taking photos during prayers. • Opening hours are generally 08:00–19:00 (April–October) and 09:00–19:00 (November–March); last entry is around 18:30. Hours may change on religious holidays. • A typical visit takes around 45–90 minutes. • Large bags, suitcases and sharp objects may not be permitted inside. • The ticket is valid only for the date/time selected during booking.
